Messi now competes with two names, ie, Xavi and CristianoRonaldo in the race for FIFA Ballon d'Or Award 2011.According to French legend, Emmanuel Petit, all three havetheir respective advantages.
"For me, they all deserve the Ballon d'Or. For Lionel Messi, headds magic to the Barcelona team. She's incredible, much likethe player PlayStation," said Petit told FIFA.com.
"While Xavi has redefined the position of playmaker in midfield. He leads Barcelona in all movements. He was moving the ball forward from the rear, set the attack, scoring goals andmaking asissts. His talent is enormous."
In two previous editions, Messi out as a successful award-winning FIFA's best player. He was defeated in 2010, Ronaldo,Iniesta, Xavi and Ronaldo in 2009. However, according to Petitt his year's awards will fall into the hands of Ronaldo.
"Cristiano Ronaldo will get my vote and God knows how much Ireally like the two other players. But, in Real Madrid'senvironmental matters may be more complicated than that occurred in Barcelona.? Ronaldo offers some impressivestatistics."
"Despite dominating in England, Ronaldo did not think twice to test himself by going to Madrid. He assumes his responsibilities perfectly and maybe he has the ability to score goals with his head better than Argentina's players (Messi)."
"But, I am still waiting for them to use their best with their respective countries," added Petit.
